and then during the spring thru early fall i will hand wash and detail -tar, bug specks, etc and wax them twice. I have a seroius trust issue with the automatic drive-in car wash tunnels-even 'touch -less'. back in my college days -decide to splurge for a special date and ran car thru one and both my outside mirrors were ripped off ('66 Rambler) Wash place told me "tough luck'-ask them to at least pay for part -nope nada.. So I don't trust 'big machnery brushes' against a cars 'appendages'.
